En 1997, Nana Mouskouri ose pour la première fois, en rendant hommage à des artistes qui l'ont touchée, reprendre des chansons françaises mythiques dans la langue d'origine. Cet album "Hommages" assez peu médiatisé à l'époque, est pourtant impressionnant par la qualité des interprétations de Brel, Gainsbourg, Mouloudji, Prévert, Brassens ou Lama. En parallèle, Nana participe au concert donné au profit des Restos du Coeur. En Grèce, elle chante la bande originale du Film "Athina-Thessaloniki". Enfin, elle sort un album an anglais avec de nouvelles chansons particulièrement splendides, comme "I don't know why", "I don't want to say goodbye" et bien sûr "Dignity" de Bob Dylan • In 1997, Nana Mouskouri dares for the first time, as a tribute to the artists who touched her, to sing mythical French songs in french. These album "Hommages" not enough mediatized in this time, is nevertheless impressive by the quality of the interpretations of Brel, Gainsbourg, Mouloudji, Prévert, Brassens or Lama songs. In 1997, Nana participates in the concert given for the benefit of Restos du Coeur. In Greece, she sings the soundtrack of the Film " Athina-Thessaloniki ". Finally, she takes out an English album with new particularly magnificent songs, as " I don't know why ", " I don't want to say goodbye " and naturally Bob Dylan's " Dignity ".
